Since 2020, CRYPTID EDITIONS has operated through the guidance of a number of visionary editors and artists, each one committing themselves to the publication of media that occupies the fractal boundary between poetry and prose.

Founded by JOSH GLASMAN (1989-2021) and his co-editor ANDREW MURPHY, the press has released three books since its inception and, despite the garbled communication of its mission, is preparing to release three new texts by the end of 2024.

The press now exists under the aegis of the inimitable KLEPHT PRESS, a longstanding institution in Toronto’s fecund literary community. In some ways, the current orientation of the CRYPTID project is archaeological. With the help of co-founder ANDREW MURPHY, the team at KLEPHT PRESS has been gathering evidence, unearthing the long-dormant whispers of structure and object, preparing a rigorous, yet folkloric portrait of the press from its inception to the current day. We will be sharing the results of this intrepid scholasticism through our blog and our instagram.
